Sushila Takbhoure

Sushila Takbhoure is author of twenty-three books including autobiography, various poems, stories, short stories, novels, Essays, Articles, One act plays to bring about social change in Dalits. She is Hindi dalit writer. She started her carrier of writing in 1993. She worked as lecturer in Hindi, Seth Kesarimal Porwal Junior College Kamptee(Maharashtra). Her autobiography ‘Shikanje Ka Dard’ is highly appreciated by reader from all over country. Her books have been translated into Marathi, Punjabi, Telgu, and English. Some selected poems translated into Bengali, published in ‘Chaturth Duniya’.She lives in Nagpur with her family. Sushila got various awards for her contribution in writing like, Hindi Seva Puruskar Award from Maharashtra State Hindi Sahitya Acadamy; ‘Magnum Foundation’ Gyan Jyoti Award –Nagpur; Madhya Pradesh Dalit Sahitya Academy visist Sewa Award, at the hand of Chief Minister Honorable Digvijay Singh of M.P.; Padmshree Gulabbai Award- From Uttar Pradesh Dalit Sahitya Academy (Farrukabad); Yeh Tum Bhi Jaano- Collection of poems receive award from Madhya Pradesh Dalit Sahitya Academy (Ujjain).
